Family Therapy
When families are under stress, for whatever reason, it is often the children who are most affected.
As part of our work with families we may decide
to do some individual work with one or more of the children. This can provide
them with a safe and supportive space to express themselves and work through
their problems (see Sand Tray Therapy article).
Seeing the children on their own does not address all the issues, however as parents need help and support to find better ways of managing difficult behaviour as well as learning how to take good care of themselves. Therefore, our work always involves both the parents and children in one way or another, and we often work in conjunction with other agencies.
