Social Work - Home & Family - Te Whare Manaaki Tangata - Child, Youth and Parenting Support Services

All our programmes are supported by wraparound social work. That means, when you work with Home & Family, one of our registered social workers will work with your family to help make the changes you need. This could include emotional support, practical assistance, being your advocate, crisis intervention, or providing education.

The social worker will be responsible for ensuring that you and your family members are receiving support suitable to your needs. Whether that’s through one of our programmes or from one of our partner community agencies.

We’re here to help you create childhoods that are free from violence, abuse, and neglect.

“Home & Family’s support helped by breaking down the issues, so they were manageable. By being non-judgemental and listening to both/all of us. Giving us great strategies which were workable and then tasks to reflect on. The environment was safe; it felt fine to be vulnerable and honest. It clarified why we had problems parenting and being together. We got to grips with our differing values.”

At Home & Family, our services work in harmony with one another and we work with all family members at the same time. Our whole-whānau approach means families receive holistic, wraparound support to create positive changes that are long-lasting, sustainable, and felt intergenerationally.
