Home & Family’s mahi centres around making tomorrow a better place for tamariki and rangatahi. It is the cornerstone of our work – making lasting, intergenerational change that impacts not only today, but future generations. We envision a safe and positive childhood for all tamariki, one where they are protected from harm, able to thrive, and cherished by their whānau.
But real, lasting change cannot be achieved alone, it takes a community, and it takes partnership. And that’s why we are so grateful to have CORDE standing alongside us.

In 2025, when our team moved into “Our House,” CORDE stepped in and helped us to completely renovate the kōmanawa garden – ensuring it was ready for providing services to tamariki and whānau. They supported the planning, logistics, and hands-on mahi. They connected us with their subcontractors – Intelligro, who donated mulch, and brought in Dan from DWCS Ltd to assist with installation.
And the support didn’t stop there. This August, we asked for help again to cut back trees, de-weed, and prepare our garden for spring. CORDE’s team went above and beyond, making our grounds look pristine and even helping us by removing accumulated waste.

The value of this type of support is immeasurable for a small organisation like ours. With CORDE’s help, our kaimahi can remain focused on delivering preventative, early‑intervention care to whānau across Ōtautahi and Waitaha. It means we can continue educating caregivers on how to keep their children safe and healthy; support whānau to build resilience; and create the foundations for a safer, stronger community.
